There are some gaming experiences that are an absolute blast when you are high off of weed. It can provide a completely different perspective to play some of your favorite games. This is a list of games that will give you the best feedback while high. These are in no particular order, so keep thine flames at bay. Do you feel that this list summarizes the best of the best to play while high?
Have you ever seen Blade Runner? What would a weed video game list be without a psychological horror game based in a science fiction universe? With Rutger Hauer voicing the main protagonist Daniel Lazarski, you are tasked with solving the murder of a known suspect. Beyond the usual jump scares, you will absolutely lose your mind the first time you ‘jack in’ to someone’s memory. These scenes are plentiful and allow you to piece together the memory of someone, alive or dead. Color patterns and sound design are top notch, and will absolutely overload your senses when you’re high.
VRChat was a must to include on the list since it has its own weed room! Getting high in real life, then logging online to get high with other people getting high is a true gaming experience. VRChat provides an open world to do, say or feel what you want in multiple settings. Since this is massively multiplayer, you can expect a lot of random things happening while you are playing. A good VR headset is recommended, with many models being supported for its low system requirements. Be careful, once you try VRChat while high, the real world will never be the same again.
The list isn’t ranked, but if it was this would be in the top three! Hellblade is an innovative action adventure game that uses binaural audio to simulate psychosis. Playing with headphones is recommended to get the full experience, and no joke, it may absolutely screw with your mind while high. Hellblade also has a VR version coming out for the brave people of the world, and will probably get as many positive reviews as the original. Playing this game while high will stay with you for a while, so be prepared!
Musical rail shooters aren’t a genre you’d think of as popular with weed smokers. Usually, a Rockband-like game would go in this spot, but when is the last time a new Rockband was made? The high paced electronic music of Rez blends well with its one of a kind graphics, and in some ways, it feels like Tron on steroids. Add in a little bit of a high fever, and you’ve got yourself a game that can entertain for hours at a time. Rez isn’t talked about much among normal gamers but is still one of the most recommended psychedelic games to purchase.
6. Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime
Similar to Rez, the colorful graphics and high paced music really help immerse the player when they’re high. As a popular space shooter video game, the main benefit of this addition is that it supports multiplayer. Grab a friend and have the time of your life trying to survive in space. Some really creative graphics went into this game that may confuse you when you’re high. Just take it in like a champ, and it will be an overall fun experience to have while smoking.
This…this is probably going to make you question the meaning of your life. Danganronpa is a popular franchise that has spanned manga, fanfiction, anime and now video games. It is about a bunch of high school students that live the nightmare scenario of fighting each other for their life or dying in the worst ways possible. The death scenes in this game are things nightmares are made up. There is a silliness to it all, but what makes this stand out as a weed improved game is the colors and art of the characters. To enhance your sense of paranoia while high, nothing helps like being trapped with any of the students in Danganronpa.
To get away from the more insane games on the list, Flower comes to the rescue. This is a fantastic game to play while high, as there is no fail state. Flower was made to stir the emotions of the player by letting them experience the dream of six particular flowers. You get to glide, fly and spread your seed across the world using responsive motion controls. The music is relaxing, and the entire thing plays like a ‘chill, bro’ simulator. To get the most out of it, play with a friend and share the controller.
3. Sims 4
This is an odd choice to play while high, but hear me out. Sims 4 is an underrated gem for cannabis users. There is something about the fake language they’re speaking that really adds to your fun. As a sandbox, I recommend this over GTA when you want a life simulated experience while high. Yes, there is more mayhem in GTA. But in Sims 4 you can recreate your boss and then stick him in the basement of your mansion. Sims 4 for the win!
2. Persona 5
Not a lot needs to be said about this game. It is your typical colorful action RPG that also doubles as a high school dating simulator. Some of the monster designs will really get to you while smoking. If that doesn’t get to your senses, then screwing up a date with someone you like will. Persona 5 is the ultimate way to get a lot of colors, great music, fun simulation and action all in one package.
1. Gang Beasts
Gang Beasts! This multiplayer fighting game features gelatinous characters trying to knock each other out. It uses a unique physics-based engine, so all the characters move like they are drunk. This is the most fun you will have with a game while high. Twerk on the wall while your friends knock each other into an oncoming train. Make sure to invite a lot of friends over for non-stop mayhem!
