Can You Legally Buy Cannabis Oil Online?
In short, yes, you can buy cannabis oil online. If you are living in an approved US State, you can buy it. Also, if you live in Canada, you can use it. If you don’t live in a state that has approved cannabis for recreational or medical use (or both) your only option for legal cannabis oil is CBD (cannabidiol) oil derived from industrial hemp. Typically, a CBD oil will contain less than 0.03% THC. This is what makes it legal.
Cannabis oil, hemp oil, CBD oil etc. are interchangeable terms used in the cannabis community. However, they can also be used to describe various types of cannabis oils.
Hemp oil is usually the extraction of industrial hemp plants (cannabis plants with very little THC). Cannabis oils are extracted from cannabis plants usually containing high levels of THC and other beneficial cannabinoids like CBD.
Types of cannabis oil
THC Oil
Extracting THC from strains of cannabis is the essence of THC oil. As you know, THC is the cannabinoid in cannabis that produces psychoactive effects- a high feeling. It is legal in Canada to consume high-quality cannabis oils.
They are often called cannabis concentrates or extracts. In the US, THC is highly regulated, and it is not federally legal. However, some states have legalized cannabis for both recreational and medical purposes.
CBD Oil
CBD (cannabidiol) is a legal compound of cannabis that is extracted from the leaves, stems, and stalks of industrial hemp cannabis plants. These extractions are used to make oils, tinctures, and other concentrates that heal and repair the body. CBD oil contains less than 0.03% THC.
